You're likely feeling some stress as the year comes to an end. While it's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, my hope is you make some time to spend doing what brings you happiness. Spending time with family and friends usually creates fun moments for me. Early December brought the traditional visit from my parents (who live in British Columbia). Our boys never complain when their grand parents spoil them...go figure. And, as the baseball season has finally ended, we switched gears and hit the fairway for some fun family bonding time. The Mill Valley Golf Course and McInnish Golf Center are our two favorites. Marin offers so many amazing resources to enjoy during December. A shout out to those who made it to the Mill Valley Winterfest yesterday. As it's an annual tradition of mine to sponsor the event, giving kids the opportunity to write a letter to Santa is certainly a highlight. To give you an idea of the wide range of desires that kids have, here are two letters from yesterday: "Dear Santa - My wish is for world peace. Yasmin. Dear Santa - Merry Christmas. I hope you have a good Christmas. I will leave you cookies and milk and carrots for your reindeer. I really want a barbie doll. Ava. I wish you a happy holiday season. |

They are best seen not as precise measurements, but as broad, comparative indicators, with reasonable margins of error. Anomalous fluctuations in statistics are not uncommon, especially in smaller, expensive market segments. Last period data should be considered estimates that may change with late-reported data. Different analytics programs sometimes define statistics - such as "active listings," "days on market," and "months supply of inventory" - differently: what is most meaningful are not specific calculations but the trends they illustrate. Most listing and sales data derives from the local or regional multi-listing service (MLS) of the area specified in the analysis, but not all listings or sales are reported to MLS and these won't be reflected in the data. "Homes" signifies real-property, single-household housing units: houses, condos, co-ops, townhouses, duets and TICs (but not mobile homes), as applicable to each market. City/town names refer specifically to the named cities and towns, or their MLS areas, unless otherwise delineated. Multicounty metro areas will be specified as such. Data from sources deemed reliable, but may contain errors and subject to revision. All numbers to be considered approximate.
