CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY SKI TRIP - MT BACHELOR, OR Skiing is a wonderful family sport. You’d think I’d have fully appreciated this fact long ago, considering how many days I’ve spent on the slopes. I started skiing at the age of 3, racked up 160 days a year chasing an Olympic Gold Medalist dream in my teens and 20s, and have enjoyed countless more days since then. But this thought truly sank in a few weeks ago on Mt. Bachelor. Sliding down the slopes through powder snow, feeling the wind on my face, hearing laughter from my wife and kids, and being completely present in the moment made me realize how special skiing can be. CHRISTMAS EVE IN SAN FRANCISCO Thanks to my wife’s brilliant idea, our family decided to switch up Christmas Eve and venture into San Francisco. It was well worth it! The city’s lights and decorations created a magical atmosphere, and the boys even enjoyed a sushi dinner at one of the tiniest restaurants we’ve ever experienced. Here’s a short video of the evening.
